digital footprint activity 3

morning bloggers,

Antarctica is the world’s coldest continent. Even though it is made up of ice, it is also the driest continent in the world! In fact, it
hasn’t rained there for nearly 2 million years! It is home to many animals such as whales, seals, birds and fish. There are no human
permanent residents (people who live there all the time) in Antarctica, however scientists do visit and stay in Antarctica to study it.

During summer, the sun doesn’t set for 6 months and during winter the sun doesn’t rise for 6 months!

So today our task 3 on summer learning journey was to make a copy of this footprint and inside the footprint explain how you create a positive, digital footprint. And what to do to stay safe online?

Footprint Here is my Footprint!! But sadly since i have been having trouble  trying two get the footprint i am gonna just write it down.

  1. Mauri Yazmine,

I can see that you have thought carefully about what a digital footprint is and how we can be smarter online. You made a good point about keeping personal information private which is very important especially when people you don't know personally can view what is on your blog.

Perhaps next time you could explain what sorts of things are considered (thought to be) personal information. How could you describe personal information to people who don't know what it is?

What steps might someone need to take if their personal information is shared online? Like their password.. What should they do first?

This all reminds me of when I am with friends or family, we like to take lots of goofy photos of ourselves pulling out of it faces but we’re pretty careful about setting them to private if we decide to upload them. I think it is good to know about and understand privacy settings if you share things online.

I hope you had a great Christmas and your holidays are going well. I look forward to reading more of your posts over the summer.

    Toe feiloa’i fo’i,

    Cia.
