hi bloggers,
New Zealand is just one of many countries that have amazing plants and trees. In fact, the African desert is home to some pretty
incredible plants, like the cactus. Some cacti are able to survive on as little as 3 millilitres (ml) of water a day. Wow!
So today our task is two solve a maths problem here i willl tell you it maths problem. To keep a cactus alive you have to give it 3 ml of water each day over one full year how much water will you need to give your cactus plant?
so I calculated 3mllelitires by 365 and then I got 1095 milleliters so my answer was 1095 milleliters.

Hey there Yazmine, my name is Billy and I am one of the people from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome to see that you've made a good start to your summer holidays by completing a few of the SLJ activities.
Well done on getting the correct answer of 1095! However, for this question we would really like to know how you arrived at that answer. We need you to show your working and what strategy you used to multiply 3 by 365.
Thank you, I can't wait to find out more.
If you get a chance, solve this too;
How much water would the cactus need over a ten year period?
Thanks, Billy.
